I’m currently reading…Kemi’s Journal of life, love and everything
September 29, 2007

Okay, I’m going to try not to be biased here.
It’s just that I attended a Writing Seminar today, and it was held by the author of the book I’m now reading.
She was down-to-earth and professional; none of the hare-brained antics my imagination instinctively associates with successful creative types. That’ll teach me to trade in stereotypes!
The course was educational and great fun, and gave me a further kick up the you-know-what. I was inspired and further convinced that I really can make a go of this writing lark…
…and so, I’m currently reading Kemi’s Journal of life, love and everything by Abidemi Sanusi.
And I have to say that I loved it.
Sanusi’s protagonist Kemi is an independent, opinionated, bubbly and vivacious twenty-eight year-old living in London.
She’s also a new Christian, battling with her new-found faith and the realities of living it out in the real world. Now, that’s easier said than done when her world is filled with the challenges of everyday life as we all know it: family and friends, demanding bosses, conniving colleagues. And as if all that isn’t enough, there’s her ex-boyfriend, the irresistible Zack…
…can she juggle her family, friends, high-flying career and her obsession with Zack alongside a burgeoning relationship with God?
The whole book struck familiar chords in me, on soooo many levels. It made me want to laugh and cry.
Then it reminded me I won’t always get it right, but that whatever the case I don’t have to walk life’s paths on my own. Which is handy. No…reassuring. Comforting.
This is Sanusi’s first book, and it’s available on Amazon.

Dear Idetrorce,
Thanks for taking the time to comment…
…perhaps you could elaborate on why you disagree, and give your own view of the book??
